Skin aging is something that every person has to deal with if not today, then at some point in their life. Aging is a natural process and there’s nothing you can do about it. You cannot stop it from happening but you certainly can put your efforts in stalling the process for some time. As you hit your 30s, the thought of developing fine lines, wrinkles, and several other aging signs just scares the hell out of anybody and if not scare then it definitely crosses your mind at some point. We woman take these things very seriously and try to do everything in power that can cause a slight delay in the aging process. And luckily, there are quite a few methods that can stall the aging process for some time and prevent from developing certain aging signs.
We have made a list of a few skin aging concerns and how you can deal with them effectively to retain your skin’s youthfulness for as long as possible.
Dull skin
Dull skin is one of the most common problems many women start to deal with earlier than anticipated. The cause behind the appearance of dull skin is the dead skin cells that get accumulated on the skin’s layer and make it appear very dull and lackluster. As you age, your skin fails to restore its natural glow and that can be attributed to skin’s natural cell numbers which start to slow down with age. To deal with this issue, you can consider adding a brightening serum to your skincare routine which will help to fight dull skin and make it feel brighter and radiant.
Dry skin
Of course, nobody likes to have dry skin as it not only feels very unpleasant to touch but it also makes it difficult to apply makeup without it getting cakey. Drying of skin is one of the most common aging problems and it is also known by the name crepey skin. Aging slows down a few processes in your body and it also messes with your skin’s ability to produce a good amount of moisture on its own. Apart from slathering your skin with a good moisturizer, you should also consider adding a good radiance serum to help you get rid of dry, rough, and parched skin. Incorporate it to your nighttime routine and you’ll start seeing results just a few days after its application.
Age spots
Age spots often called as dark spots are again one of those aging signs that start to appear as you age. And these spots aren’t only restricted to your face, but they can also occur on other parts of your body. The cause behind the occurrence of these spots is the constant exposure of sun that results in increased melanin products which further leads to age spots. Here sunscreen plays an important role as it not only protects your skin from harsh sun rays but it also acts as a barrier to UVA and UVB which can severely damage your skin. Look for a good sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30. Also, avoid exposing yourself to the sun for a longer duration.
Wrinkles and fine lines
Fine lines and wrinkles are the most debated part of skin aging. Not only these two are the most common skin aging concerns but they are also somehow related to the drying of the skin. Aging results in the loss of collagen, skin’s elasticity and the moisture content which further leads to wrinkles and fine lines. These signs are developed in particular areas such as mouth, forehead, or the area around your eyes and that’s because they make the maximum muscle use. The only thing that is going to make up for all these skin issues is the moisture content. Keep feeding your skin with good moisture; keep it all plumped and moist to prevent those fine lines and wrinkles.
