Skin Prepping First

Skin prep is a comprehensive topic that includes many folds. We believe it’s the way how you prep your skin that makes your makeup look a hit or a miss!
Even if you’re going with natural makeup, glam makeup or simply no-makeup look, skin prepping is an inevitable step in each of the following.
And, for this look skin prepping is the foundation and how you will look will depend on how you will prep your skin. Skin prepping just not begins 15 minutes before the actual makeup but depends on how you’re treating your skin in general and if you really want to ditch the makeup products the quality of your skin solely depends on how you treat it an take care of it.
Step 1- use chemical-free products- harmful chemicals or harsh skin care products can damage your skin thus make sure you use natural cleansers.
Step2- Exfoliate your skin once a week.
Step3- Never skip a moisturizer even if you have oily skin. It’s like something you need to put twice every day.
Step 4- SPF is an absolute must.
Step5- Regularly remove facial growth.
So, these are some of the things that come under the head of skin prepping.

Take Care Of Your Teeth

The next important step when it comes to looking good without makeup is to have white teeth. This hack has been recommended by the majority of models from every corner of the world. A bright smile adds glam to the look and white teeth are something that makes you look super attractive. No one loves to look at the yellow and dirty teeth. So, make sure you clean your teeth regularly and get them whitened in case they are yellow.

Trim Your Eyebrows Regularly

If you have nicely trimmed and groomed eyebrows it’s like winning half the battle. Thick eyebrows can seriously render a youthful impact on the face. While some are blessed with it and for the rest filling the eyebrows with the one shade lighter than the natural shade is the key to make the eyebrows look thick and you look good even without any base on!

Accentuate Your Eyes

Make sure you’re taking proper sleep as even if you lie your eyes never lie. If you have dark circles filing them with the natural shade is no harm. If you want you can also put on coats of mascara to really accentuate and pop out your eyes.

Lips And Hair

Last but not the least, lips and hair can instantly refresh you even without doing much. Add a bright hint of color to your lips and style your hair nicely. If your hair needs to be trimmed or colored then go for it.

Facial hair is one of the controversial topics in the beauty world. Every person has different opinions and beliefs when it comes to dealing with facial hair. Every woman has facial hair, but the growth and visibility vary from person to person. Some women have light facial hair growth that is almost too light to be visible; the remaining ones have slightly thicker hair that looks more prominent. Having facial hair is very natural, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. But if you don’t feel comfortable having facial hair and it keeps bothering you, there are quite a lot of ways to get rid of it.
Getting rid of facial hair comes with its own set of advantages, it helps in getting rid of dead skin cells, makes your skin look brighter, allows easy and effective application of makeup and skincare products, and much more. Depending on the method you have picked to get rid of facial hair, the results can vary. If you have excessive facial hair, it’s best to seek advice from an expert, and if you are looking for other facial hair removal techniques that can deliver equally amazing results, we have quite a few to name. Keep on reading to know about them.

Tweezers

When it comes to getting rid of extra strands of hair from your brows, it’s best to use tweezers to do this job perfectly. It is a common facial hair removal tool, which is ideal to be used on small areas of your face such as brows or chin. Before using the tweezer to pluck extra strands from your chin or brows, make sure to clean it with rubbing alcohol to keep infections and breakouts at bay. Also, outlining your brows before plucking the strands will make sure that you don’t end up plucking extra strands from your brows or making it too thin.

Waxing

Waxing is a common facial hair removal technique, which is ideal for large areas of your face, such as upper lips, chin, cheeks, and your brows as well. It is done using hard and soft wax. Hard waxing involves waxing strips that are pulled off your skin to get rid of facial hair, and in soft wax, it is removed from your face once it hardens. Facial waxing isn’t suitable for all skin types; it can leave delicate facial skin quite irritated. Instead of doing it by yourself at home, get it done by a professional.

Shaving

If you are looking for a painless and hassle-free way to get rid of facial hair, shaving is the best alternative for you. Contrary to the popular belief, shaving your face doesn’t make your facial hair grow thicker or darker. Since facial hair gets cut halfway and not uprooted, it tends to feel a bit different while growing. Also, you shouldn’t pick just any kind of razor to shave your facial hair, look for the one that is specifically designed for women. You can either shave your face while in the shower, or you can do it when your skin is clean and soft.

Threading

Threading is yet another common technique that is largely used for certain areas of your face, including upper lips, brows, chin, and even forehead. This hair removal technique can be quite painful, but since it plucks your facial hair from the roots, this technique is found to be more reliable than shaving. Also, threading is quite a tricky technique, therefore, it’s best to get your facial hair removed by an expert and not do it by yourself, or else you may end up cutting your skin accidentally.

We all have had days at one point or another when our skin looks dull and tired probably from having a late-night, hungover morning, or even anxiety issues. That’s not necessarily a problem unless you have to head to your office or any important event. You obviously can’t go there with your face looking dull and tired, because if truth be told, sometimes, even the layers of makeup fail to make your face look fresh. Canceling out any sign of tiredness from your face using makeup or other means is the only key to making your face appear fresh, even though it’s fake, but if that’s what it takes to make your face look less tired, it’s probably best to get going with it. If you are someone who keeps having such days quite often, this article is just for you. We have jotted down a list of some clever beauty tips that will help you to fake a fresh face with ease. Read on to know about them.

Line your waterline with a nude or white eye pencil

While applying black liner to your waterline might be your go-to makeup routine, it’s probably best to not line your waterline with black eyeliner on days when your face looks tired as it can make your eyes look smaller, which, in turn, looks tired and sleepy. The easiest way to make your eyes look wide awake and bright is by applying white or nude eye pencil to your waterline. Additionally, this trick will also help in canceling out signs of tiredness, ultimately, making your face look fresh.

Massage your face with a cold jade roller

A relaxing massage using a cold jade roller can work wonders for your face. It is one of the most effective tricks to make your face look less tired. Place the jade roller in your refrigerator for about 30 minutes, and then use it to massage your face. In addition to calming redness and irritation on your face, it will also help in increasing blood circulation and getting rid of puffiness around your eyes. This miracle tool can make your face look fresh in an instant.

Highlight the inner corner of your eyes

Another trick to make your eyes look wide awake and bright is to apply highlighter to the inner corner of your eyes. If you have had a late night and have an important event to attend the following morning, the easiest way to make your eyes look more awake is by highlighting the inner corner of your eyes. Using a flat brush, apply some highlighter to the inner corner of your eyes, and it will make sure that your face looks fresh.

Rosewater spray to the rescue

If you want your face to look fresh in a jiffy, you will have to keep rosewater spray handy. When you have nothing else to rely on, you can use rosewater spray to help you look fresh as a daisy in a jiffy. Rosewater is known to have several beauty benefits, in addition to its pleasant fragrance, it also acts as a natural toner and calms skin irritation. You can spritz the product every hour or two to keep your face looking fresh all the time.

Use a cleanser infused with lemon

While splashing cold water on your face certainly helps in making your skin feel fresh and rejuvenated, the effects don’t last for much longer. An easy way to make your face looking fresh for a longer duration is by cleansing your face with a lemon-infused cleaner. Lemon is extremely soothing in nature, and its citrusy smell helps in adding a sense of freshness to your face- leaving your face looking less tired.

Almost every single thing in life comes with an expiration date. And if you thought that this doesn’t stand true for your beauty tools, you had been living in a bubble all this while, and it’s time to burst it and accept the reality or what we may call, the truth. No matter how expensive your beauty tools are or how long it took you to find the perfect tools for yourself, there will always come the time when you will have to say your goodbye to all your beauty tools and replace them with newer ones every once in a while. The fact that you clear your beauty tools regularly and have them stored in the perfect environment is also not going to change the actuality that you need to get rid of all your beauty tools at some point.
Using your beauty tools for an extended period not only invites a lot of undesirable problems but it also somehow keep the makeup from looking flawless, which was never a problem earlier. Therefore, it’s imperative to discard your beauty tools in a timely manner and supersede them with newly bought ones.

Makeup sponge

A makeup sponge is almost every makeup junkie’s favorite tool. It allows the easy application of so many beauty products including foundation and concealer and also helps in making the application look flawless and dewy. However, makeup sponges tend to absorb excess products and collect bacteria on its surface, which makes it even more important to cleanse the sponge thoroughly once in a week. In addition to that, it’s crucial to discard the sponge every three months, especially when you use it regularly.

Hairbrush

Not many people pay a lot of attention when it comes to their hairbrushes. As surprising as it may seem, but your hairbrushes also come with a shelf life, and after some point, they start inviting newer problems instead of dealing with the existing ones. Don’t wait for the bristles to fall out or your brush to break into two pieces; you should replace your brush as soon as it has served you for a good 6 months. Additionally, you should also wash your hairbrush twice every month to get rid of bacteria, dirt, or impurities settled between the bristles.

Eyelash curler

Much like any other beauty tool, it’s important to replace your eyelash curler every once in a while. The rubber cushion of these eyelash curlers starts to wear down over time, and using such a curler on your lashes won’t deliver the best results. Ideally, you should replace the eyelash curler every 3 to 6 months, and that completely depends on how often you use this tool.

Mascara wand

When it comes to your eye makeup products or tools, you should be extra careful while using them as they can easily transfer the bacteria into your eyes, which can result in eye infections. In addition to keeping the check on the expiry date of your mascara and discarding it once it has expired, you can also clean the wand using rubbing alcohol every once in a while to keep eye infections at bay.

Tweezers

Seeing tweezers on this list might be kind of shocking or surprising, but that’s how it is. Although tweezers can last you long enough when they are well taken care of, after some point, they also lose their ability to work like a charm. If you are having a hard time plucking your hair using your old tweezer or it has started to appear dull, take it as a sign that you need to discard it and purchase a new one instead. Additionally, you can extend the life of your tweezer by cleaning it with rubbing alcohol.

Nicely done brows can take your makeup game to a whole new level. But one slight mistake with your brows can end up ruining the entire look, and that’s the last thing you want. Your brows are not something you should play around with. They should always be left to the professionals, especially if it includes tweezing them. We girls have a habit of doing things the last minute before any major event. Besides clothes, hair, and makeup, there’s this one thing that also needs some sprucing, and it happens to be none other than your eyebrows. Not having the time to go to the salon to get your brows fixed doesn’t always end well. Since you have no other option but to take the matter into your own hands, some mishaps are bound to happen, especially if it’s your first time tweezing your brows.
Plucking your brows by yourself is one of the worst mistakes to make; it can end up really bad if you aren’t careful enough. While messing your brows can be one of your worst nightmares, you should also know that this isn’t the end of the world. There are some easy fixes that you can use to take care of those mishaps.

Red and splotchy skin

Tweezing your brows by yourself can leave your skin looking red, splotchy, and irritated around the brows, especially if you have sensitive skin. While your skin tends to calm down on its own in some time, you can choose to accelerate the healing process by using aloe vera. Aloe vera is packed with moisturizing properties, and it is also very soothing in nature, you can apply its gel around your brows to reduce redness and prevent tiny bumps. Just make sure to apply the gel in the direction of growth.

Bald patches

A DIY tweezing session can turn out to be your worst nightmare when you end up over plucking your brows. Ending up with bald patches in your brows or making them look too thin can be a very traumatic experience. However, you can take care of this situation by putting your brow pencil to good use. You can use it to fill in the brows, and try to keep everything as natural as possible. Using an angled brush to apply brow powder helps in achieving a softer and natural look.

Overfilled brows

Filling your brows to perfection can be one of the trickiest things to do, especially if you’re a beginner. Overfilled brows is one mistake most of us girls are guilty of making, and honestly, it can look too dramatic and extra. If you have ended up overfilling your brows, don’t panic, you can remove the excess product by tracing the natural outline of your brows using a cotton pad dipped in makeup remover.

Bleached brows

If you are someone who likes to bleach their face every now and then, there are chances you might have accidentally ended up bleaching your brows, which can look very funny and scary at the same time. While there is no problem in bleaching your face at home, you just have to be extra careful around your brows so that you don’t end up bleaching them. And even if you end up slightly bleaching them, don’t panic, there’s a way to fix this mishap. The first thing you need to do is apply a layer of Vaseline on the outline of your brows. After you are done doing that, you will have to carefully apply the bear dye to the bleached part of your brow. You can apply some dye to your other brow as well to make sure that both brows look even. After letting the color sit on your brows for some time, you can wipe it off.

Face shaving is a very popular and painless way to get rid of the facial hair. Face shaving involves the use of face razors to get rid of the facial hair. Besides, removing facial growth, face shaving also helps in exfoliating and achieving a clear and smooth complexion.
Face shaving is in trend nowadays and you may wish to try it but before shaving your face, here, are a few things that are to be kept in mind. In the feed, we have compiled a few important things you should know before you use face razors. If you want to know what all is there, keep on reading!

Choosing the Right Tool

Face razors are the tool you use for face shaving and you might find every face razor doing the same purpose. But before you shave your face it’s really important to choose the correct tool. When it comes to face shaving pick the razor that is not too harsh. The blades should not be sharp.
Since you’ll be shaving your face; you can’t pick sharp razors as they might cut your skin. So, make sure you pick the correct tool.

Clean Your Face

When you shave your face make sure you’re doing it on clean skin. There could be oil, dirt, and grime on the face that can harm your skin when shaved off. So, it’s really important for you to start with a clean face.
Wash your face with a mild cleanser and cold water. If you’ll be using harsh cleansers or cleanser having strong ingredients such as salicylic acid before shaving you might irritate your skin while shaving thus it’s really important for you to use a mild cleanser before shaving your face.

Start With A Moisturized Skin

Make this is a rule, whenever you have to shave your face, your skin should be moisturized. When you shave on dry skin you harm the skin’s natural moisture content.
So, once the face is clean, apply face oil or moisturizer so that your skin is nicely prepped for shaving. Moisturized skin will also prevent the chances of cuts or dryness after shaving. Also, apply face oil or moisturizer to each side, for instance, if you have to shave the left side of your face first, apply moisturizer to the left side first, and then to the side, you’ll be shaving next.

Pull The Skin

When you’ll be shaving your face make sure you pull the skin. Pulling the skin minimizes the chances of skin rashes and cut. Also, you get a firm grip on facial growth.
Gently pull the skin from one hand and with the help of the other hand shave your face in the direction of the hair growth. You have to shave your face in the downward direction and not the upward direction. If you’ll be shaving in the upward direction you might cut your skin and won’t even get rid of the facial growth properly.

Rub An Ice Cube

Shaving your face might led to redness and inflammation so make sure once you have shaved your face you rub an ice cube to calm the skin.

So, these were a few things you need to keep in mind every time you’ll be shaving your face. We all have different skin types and there may be a few more steps you feel to add to this according to the skin type you have. You’re free to add the steps you want to as you know your skin much better.
We hope the feed turns out to be a great help!
